Park

Park

A Poem by Joshua Carl Cruz

my family´s outings:
dad's relatives shouting
great grandchildren pouting
while Aunt Karen's top
is half eaten by moths
the hot sun ricochets loudly
off grandfather's face,
and out of the white, billowy clouds
I'm making animal shapes.

Ah, so nice to come across a fellow rhymer, and you have an Aunt Karen in your poem! I chose to read this poem first because I enjoy parks very much, in fact, I sometimes write poetry on a park bench. :)

sounds like a normal day at the park, seeing things in the clouds used to be one of my favorite pastimes.
