What do the undead really wish?

Or A Zombie’s true intent? -- (I love you so much I have to eat you?)

 

The undead girl looked at Thomas and she closed her mouth. Her head tilted and her white clouded blue eyes blinked.

He looked at her. “I’m sorry,” he said. He brought the shotgun up.

Misfire in both barrels.

She looked at the gun, raised her head and met his eyes. “Oh,” she said. “Gosh?”

He looked into her eyes. “Sorry.” He began to reload the shotgun.

“It ok,” she replied. “You pretty.” Her head titled and she stared at the living boy. She pictured herself nibbling on him.

He nodded to her and blushed. “You too.” He had reloaded the shot gun. He clicked it close and pointed it at her face. He pulled the triggers.

Misfire in both barrels.

They stared at each other and the undead girl reached out her hand to him.

Thomas looked at the hand. He sighed, smiled and dropped the shotgun. He looked at her white blue eyes and asked, “Will you eat me?”

She nodded and replied, “Yes, but only in the good way.”

They held hands and walked through the hordes of other dead. The other dead parted for them.

Thomas heard screams from where they had left. She looked up at him and smiled. “I like you,” she said.

He smiled as they held hands walking away from the eating dead and said, “I like you also.”

A week later she smiled and he laughed. They held hands on the beach and danced in the sand together. The ocean water threatened to wash their feet and knees.

They laughed together as a large wave washed them both in sea water. She leaned in and nibbled on his ear and he pulled her back to lick her nose.

“Gross,” she said rubbing her nose clean of his lick.

“You like it,” he replied.

Her smiled showed her truth and his smile showed his.

They kissed in the sea water kneeling on the sand.
