Smiles

Smiles

A Poem by Jack O

Soft and wondering do they step into a world that might contain suns.

Or moons.

Or the dead.

It is a café after all and contains many types of patrons.

They look at the inhabitants therein and wonder.

Can I be like them?

Do I care?

I’d like a friend, some think as they stare about in wonder.

Old things look at the young things

And they smile.

New things smile at old and young things and they laugh.

And the café offers coffee and tea and a world of

Possibility.

I really love the way you describe smiles and the view some people get from them.. I personally love smiles , I think they are all distinctive like our voices.. This is a very lovely poem, the first line is really emotionally moving..
