The dumb animal

A poem

            The dumb animals.

 

The Monkey reached into the hole for the fruit.

            Its hand is now stuck and it wants the fruit so bad.

            The hole holds its hand as it keeps it fist about the fruit.

            It leans down and against the tree that holds its fisted hand.

            Unclench your fist other Monkeys advice.

            The Monkey cannot let go and cannot get free.

            Funny that the fruit is so fruitful that the poor Monkey �"
