Missy and the Demon

Missy and the Demon

A Poem by Jack Carver

She says she cried out to the spirits and hell broke loose!
She only wanted someone to talk to, the brat
But it was in God's mind to let her know better than that
For they are but a suggestion to the enemy from him

You shouldn't lie like that Missy, it's obtuse
But it is true to those who do not pass the hat
To tempt the LORD is foolishness now scat
Or admit you were wrong and lied just on a whim

She better learn or we have trouble we don't want
To be around us in any way shape or form
I'm telling you that can get serious
And I think you should do more than just scold her and now!

Don't scare her but let her know that she shouldn't flaunt
Her trifles with things of God outside the norm
If she had she might have become delirious
Be patient she's a kid she won't think to do it or how

The one they were agreed to let it pass
And if it happened again he'd let her know
That Jesus wouldn't like it if she did it once more
She loves the Lord she probably just got bored

She didn't want that to happen the little lass
And when she found Jesus wouldn't like it was so
But she never did it again for her feelings were sore
And founding her love for Jesus was real he scored
