Group Save

Group Save

A Poem by Jack Carver

Unwanted came despite our best interests
He could be violent and hated being here
With us on earth the only way to contain him
But evil always, makes a mistake sometime

Unchosen was jealous of everyone around
They had said he was someone so great before
Now he was among the greatest there are for good
But why he stayed no one could know except him

Not Prophesied had come to me to be saved
When he saw the others and how they acted out
Their love of Christ when the Spirit fell on them
I loved her almost as much as the unchosen one

He was Chosen yet unsure he could be saved
When the Spirit fell on him with wonders and signs
We were amazed for his emotions were the same
He was awe filled but didn't show it to  us

And Sinner was good loving and kinder than most
But he found he kept on doing the wrong thing
The Father chose him for he was honest and true
Why bother I thought of him though I loved him too

The Lover of God was chosen for her great love
Like John he wanted to be with him always
All day at night and in the morning light
When separate he ached to talk of the Lord

"Now Jesus help me out!" he prayed one night
Then being bigger than them all he battered five
To a bloody mess over an overweight girl he knew
"Now Jesus spirit me out of here." "Not me!"

He hissing said, "I shall not stall," to the Lord,
"Teach even me how to fight for justice I'll do!
He took it too far and I need to use magic more!
It would be great fun!""It's best not ever done.,"

Lord Jesus said, "A brawler stirs up trouble
A wise men brings it to its end in peace
For neither be a drunkard or a brawler but love."
She asked, "Do you mean be kind to your enemy?"

"He should be put in jail and left to rot!
He makes you look bad with his evil all the time
Why do you put up with him? he asked, "Your love?"
"Because I love you less? Leave that to me."

"You murderer!" screamed from his mouth so angry,
"Now you are cursed and Jesus must let you go."
"It's up to you to die here or in jail in a brawl,"
The Lord Jesus said to him and frankly so

In tears the Lord Jesus watched him walk away
But she put her hands over his face and wept with him,
Don't worry Lord he'll be back," she felt sure, "One day?"
The Lord took her hands away and smiled, "Let's go."

In heaven his salvation disintegrates
With sparkles and smoke to nothing there that was
Or will be there for he is dead as a demon
And no one cares for him anymore; he's deceased

"Shall I?" he said, "Bring trouble back! No way!"
"It is enough that he is gone," said the Lord,
"To bring him back would be the wrong thing to do."
"Help me Lord! I hated to see him go that way."

"Many come to me but few are chosen," He said
"I was not prophesied. Is that the same as not--"
Not Prophesied said. "It is but you are good!
"Just stay that way and I will see you through."

"Was I?" he said, "Chosen to live for forever?"
"If you want," the Lord said to him, "Do you or not?"
"I'm not sure," he said, "I wish I knew. Help me!"
"I will and all the way to the end of it."

"It's good enough for him. He was a pain!
Let's celebrate!" the sinner said. "Why so?
One of us is dead how many more will I lose?"
"I'm sorry," he said. "I always say the wrong thing, don't I?"

"It is not you but sin that lives in you
That does it," she said. "Who can save me from sin?"
"Lord Jesus Christ, the one I love the most."
"Put the dead one to death and follow me."

"You always do the one thing that can be done.
You are great and they said I was but you are
Just don't talk to me or show me anymore
I've had it. How much of you can I take, he said

"I love you Jesus for loving me like this!
I want out of him to be with you forever
You are the greatest of the great and my God!"
"Take him to heaven. What if we were to lose him?"

"I wish I could be like that guy," Chosen said
"Who was he? Where did he come from all at once
Right out of nowhere he loved you as much as one can."
He was in Not Prophesied but he is in heaven

"He's still here. What are you saying now?" he asked
"Chosen is here but he came from inside on to heaven,"
Lord Jesus said, "You are of earth even he is
A spirit that grew and divided him in two."

" Praise the Lord Jesus! Praise for the Father too!
A spirit went up that was in him and will be
In him when he gets to heaven too! Right Lord?"
"He is there either way whether Not Prophesied does."
"Oh sure! Someone we didn't even know
But me I just don't get it. Are we just spirit?"
"On earth you have a earthly body not you
In heaven you have a spiritual body, not you

"Do you mean bodies don't count for much there too?"
"Not much," Jesus said, "On earth almost nothing
In heaven you can exchange them if you want
As much or as little as you want or go without."

"I understand!" he said, "It's sin in my body
We are talking my spirit! Why was that so hard?"
The Lord said, "You are not used to talking in terms
Of your spirit which is nearly dead for your body."

"If I think of myself as a spirit all the time
I won't sin for it's my body that is sin
In me at all times waring with my spirit then?"
"That's a good way to see it and right on the nose."

"You are not your body at all but the spirit is you
We need to practice love, The best way is to love
And to love Jesus is the best love you can have
So say it often for it is true if saved."

"I love you Lord! Open my mind that I
May see clearly and understand what I see of you."
Not prophesieds are rare but he lives for God
Whom he loves in the end with a long ways to go

"I don't know what a spirit is for sure?"
"It only matters that you believe I came
Into the world from my Father to save it but
I didn't come to condemn it or you but to save

"Hallelujah! I'm saved and I believe!
Thank you Lord Jesus I was confused and am not
I can see it all and I know what it is now!
The Holy Spirit has shown me what I need!"

"And I am a sinner but it is sin in me
That was my master now I am free of it."
"If you say you have no sin you are a liar
But always ask Jesus to forgive you too."

"Let us begin in this group to win all the Father brings
For he brings them to me and to do that
He brings them to you who are in me; I in you
As I am in him and he is in me by the Spirit!

Author's Note

Jack Carver
The genre is new to all. Each verse is a character for the first six verse until the first character dies with each one representing a different group of people. The other five verses verse by verse are the same characters in order each time through with Jesus throughout sort of like Revelations.
