Father you Are Good

Father you Are Good

A Poem by Jack Carver

I was watching TV when a spirit came out of it
At one time I would have blamed the Devil but there is none
He was the spirit of a killer that did it
He turned and ran when he knew what had been done
The Father tested me successfully so
But there was another more subtle than the first
So I asked him to take it away from me, you know?
For he said he'd be a thorn and that would be the worst
So I entreated him again and he took it away
My thorn was gone but I have to be careful
Or he might return to make me evil one day
And not a bit but a whole head of hair full
I love him even more now than before, you see?
It could be that spirit I never thought would be.
