The Great Beneath

The Great Beneath

A Poem by D Pohl
"

This is what it means to be introverted and shy, and to struggle with depression that others don't see.

"

The Great Beneath

At swim in a sea of uncertainty

where the waters of rage whisper quietly

where myriad silvered moonfish gaze

upon this human’s tragic haze

this sinking giant slowed to crawl

to ghostly eerie sinking fall

to ripped apart and torn asunder…

this salty grave has claimed its plunder.

And moss fields growing here beneath..?

and above and on to which bequeath

a quietness, a gentle sound;

I’ve existed here in the home I’ve found.

I enjoyed the fun whimsical nature of your poem. Also the theme of the sea made it stand out for me. Thank you for sharing your poem.
