Catatonic Symphonies

Catatonic Symphonies

A Poem by Jade Ash

And so the thunder continues

Remedies of broken pleas

And if the lightning malfunctions

Spots of listless dreams

And if I ever doubted that I was

porcelain cracks of forgotten seams

weeping in the fruitless fields

Morsels for the caged rats

cruelly laugh as they binge on their fat

Because at times like these I never know what's enough

So they leave her on the grass, paddling in the mud

Rest your soul awhile, before they take you away

Well the seasons they all change, but I lie here still awake

And so the waves keep on rising

Crashing tides to extreme

And if silence has an echo

Glass box of retreat

And if I ever doubted that I was

rehearsing my own defeat

Tweaking my final beat

Tuning my requiem

Reading your poem I thought many thoughts, saw many pictures, and then the threads flew away from my fingers at the final words.
It was an interesting experience.
Thanks for sharing.
