Pluck Strings

Pluck Strings

A Poem by Jaeda

I'm trying to pick out
What about you is the most spectacular,
Most alluring,
Most unforgettable.
Trying to pluck upon the strings of your personality.
Trying to figure out
What drew me to you
(You to me?)
(Us together?)
Maybe it's the fact
That I've never felt like writing a love poem
To -anyone- else before.

I reserve
The Words
For flavor,
Like a fine wine
Ages.

doesn't love do that to us? suddenly, we write poetry & sing cheesy old love songs.

Love is grand. So is your poem. Good job!

About
I'm a pretty depressing writer, if I'm to be honest. But I do love comments from anyone willing to read my poems, and I do try to review any commentator's works, too. I don't figure my background is t.. more..
