Overthinking Words

Overthinking Words

A Poem by Jaeda

I have to be careful with you.
I know I do.
I'm sorry.
I get so fed up with watching my words
Ensnared in all the words and
Words behind words
And the meanings under those.
I ask of you,
Check me if I do wrong.
Check me if I do badly.
Check me if I hurt you.
Tell me!
And I'll do you the same.
I know I'm willful.
Please, forgive me.
I know I'm terrible at taking bad news.
Please, help me.
Above all else, don't overthink
What you say
Or do
Or are.
Because I love you.

About
I'm a pretty depressing writer, if I'm to be honest. But I do love comments from anyone willing to read my poems, and I do try to review any commentator's works, too. I don't figure my background is t.. more..
