Berlin

Berlin

A Poem by Jaffa Forbes
"

in amongst this Chaos you were born

"
Previous Version
This is a previous version of Berlin.

In amongst this Chaos
You were born.
Conceived, thought of,
named, noticed but
by a few, a bundle
of something,
a nothing,
waiting
for your
time.

They said to you;
You are a child of
the New New, the
New Normal, the
beautiful
emerging
resurgance.
You are a member
of that glorious
group, a note
in the tune of
a victory song,
a battle cry cried
with words they
sang with rags
and scarves
dipped red with
blood and
bitterness...

But what did you know
of this?

You were just born,
born into this
chaos, sheltered,
protected and

Safe.

They said:
Your name is Beautiful.
Beautiful as the stars,
But only as we see them,
Distanced from the fire
and the flame and the
fierce shouts of raw
power; you are
protected.

You are safe.

You are safe
amongst this
Chaos and all
that came
from it.

I am of the chaos the same as of the sheltered places. This is a beautiful piece of work. I'm glad I came by it.
