What i was like then and how I am now

Used to be blowsy, disheveled, unbuttoned, scrubby

Used to be lousy, unreveled, so sullened, frumpy

Used to be deceitful, ungrateful, licentious, uncommitted

Used to be inconceivable, unfaithful, very anxious, babysitted

 

But now I am strong and sapient,

I am raring to be round and reliant,

I am capable of success and peace of mind,

I have an extraordinary mind; I am a wunderkind, an ironside

 

Used to be frazzled, strung-out, un-medicated, masochistic,

Used to be hassled, bummed out, self-deprecated, antagonistic,

Used to be pretentious, judgemental, arrogant, sociopathetic,

Used to be salacious, undoubtedly mental, transparent, always frantic,

 

I created my own doom and soon I will burst from this womb,

I will master the oncologistics and thwart becoming another statistic,

I have endured the abuse, I suffer from my hubris and if I choose not to groom this I'll lose this

 

I am wrapped in my cocoon, a contortionist waiting for metamorphosis
