This is the first poem I've ever tried any sort of rhyme scheme with so it doesn't flow and sounds really bad so I would love some feedback!

Blue Eyes And A Heartbeat

Your blue eyes captivated me from the moment I met you,

Even behind your glasses they shined knife steel blue,

And even though mine are harmless you said mine captivated you too,

Your body was a wonderland of perfect edges and curves,

I knew you needed even more than every woman deserves,

You needed undivided attention without getting on your nerves,

But you’re the devil, you bring out the worst in me,

And baby that’s clear for everyone to see,

You make me a cutthroat driven by jealousy

Your blue eyes make staying away a feat,

Well, mama warned me about drugs on the streets,

But she never told me about the devil with blue eyes and a heart beat.
