Trapped

Trapped

A Poem by Jameicia(Ja-me-c-a)

As an adult, your trapped in the "closet" filled with emotions, in a small confined space in your room where you think its safe. As a teen your trapped in your diary with all your thoughts and deepest secrets writing it down because only you can keep your secrets. As a fetus, your trapped in the womb with no room, confined in a small space only eating through a placenta bag which is later used for waste. No matter where we're are in life we'll be trapped at any age and every height we grow, because when we die our souls are trapped in a coffin.

You'll only be trapped if you let yourself be. Be controlled in your emotions, but not too constrained. Let folks know how your feeling and adulthood isn't so bad.

Couple Notes On The Write:
1. "No matter where we're are" - I think is a typo.
2. Are the quotes on closet supposed to indicate the colloquial closet or homosexuality? If not, maybe drop the quotes on it, because it seems like it is referring to something deeper than just hiding.
3. I feel like maybe the last sentence is an overstatement. Maybe some comic relief at the end? Tying in the placental waste with wasting away and ending up in a coffin?

Take it or leave it. Nice concept and write!
