Her.

Her.

A Poem by James Huston

Those days you would hear of in song lyrics.
Warm comfort all around you,
time is so irrelevant at this moment.
It trickles through your veins.
It stings your stomach and heart.

She turns her gaze onto you.
You feel safe from the world,
in those moments.
She protects you from reality creeping in.
Life stops even in memories.

It has made you sick and weak.
She has trapped you,
you are stuck in slow quick sand.
You are broken with only contentment.
You are alone.

thank you
this poem unfortunately tells the harsh story of "despair" and "heartbreak".. when both are in love the feeling is GRAND!!.. when you are alone in it somber feeling is GRAND... great poem..
