Becoming someone.

Becoming someone.

A Poem by James Huston

What does it take to become someone.
all the money in world just to be noticed.
a fancy bright red car that is seen from miles.
a suit made of the best materials that no one knows of.

Or does it take an open heart and mind.
a life free of what others think of you.
a journey that makes no sense at all.
a hand open to something new.

We all pick the ways in how we become someone.
some people sit in offices with a name tag.
others are known to be genuine.
everyone is just searching in the end.

yes! this is my kind of thinking :)
Some are afraid to be genuine because they are scared of the reaction of others.

yeah exactly, just have to decide from there whether you care about those reactions or not
the money? the car? the suit?? are all things I will pass up anytime with there is no heart that comes with it. We all have a legacy we live behind in the memories of those who knew us, I pray to God that mine isn't ... the car, the money, the shoes!!.. great write,, I can tell that you have that humble heart!
