Find Me.

Find Me.

A Poem by James Huston

Im sitting here patiently.
Just simply waiting.

Where are you?
How much longer?

Cant you hear me screaming for you.
Dont you know that im waiting.

I just want to finally meet you.
Be able to make memories.

Your going to be so perfect.
When you find me.

J...nice to see you try something without rhyme. The form makes different demands of the writer. It can be very different.

This poem, to me, was about hope...and how it defines us...'Your going to be so perfect./When you find me.'. Again please take care with your/you're...punctation is a choice, perhaps, but without it, word meanings can change sometimes.

For some reason, I was reminded of a famous quote attributed to Samuel Johnson that second marriages were 'the triumph of hope over experience.' That's always made me smile. Keep at it...bobc

Loved this James it has such pathos in a short piece. One minor thing I would craft is to replace one of the 'waitings' as repeat words should only really be used for dramatic or poetic effect. It can seem lazy and unimaginative else wise. Ready might do it?

hmm yeah thats a good point on the repeating issue. Thanks for that advice
I can relate to this...that someone we are always waiting to meet, knowing they will make our while life come together again like a jigsaw puzzle. We don't doubt how perfect and right they will make things, cause in our hearts, we just know they are something truly special.
