Southern Summer Nights

Southern Summer Nights

A Poem by James

The world lights up
before the loud boom
with a beauty undescribed.

The picture it paints
quickly fades
in clouds, it is confined

The lightening is past
but the rumbling is there
tricking my weary eye

I lie on the grass
and stare at the moon
In awe of the Southern sky.
