My Dirty Coffee Cup

My Dirty Coffee Cup

A Poem by James
"

Just having a little fun

"
They look at my cup and say “oh, that’s just gross”
I give them a smile and say “no, it’s French Roast”

“Look at that thing, it’s brown on the edges”
I giggle a little, I haven’t washed it in ages.

They gag and they ask “just what is the reason?”
I chuckle when I say “it’s been carefully seasoned”

“Why do you drink so much? I think it’s just silly”
I can’t help it, I say “well, it’s good for the willie”

“Good for the willie? Well that is just silly”
“No, I’m serious, just go and ask Millie"

“Millie, that hussy in the office next door?”
“Yep, we shared a cup right here on the floor”

They stood for a moment in a state of shock
So I offered them a pour from my well-seasoned pot

They took it and moaned it was almost euphoric
Of course, this poem is completely metaphoric.

Ha, nice. Probably just my not caffeinated enough, early morning brain, but as I sit here reading this, with coffee cup nearby, I have the voice of the actor in full metal jacket, looking weirdly into the camera, saying "This is my coffee cup, there are many like it, but this one is mine" :)
Love the fact you can write humorously on such a non descript item as your coffee cup, brilliant.

Yes, I never wash my cup until brown worms are floating in my coffee. It's very important to preserve that antique bite of well-seasoned caffeine residue, otherwise we'd have to drink so much more to get the desired buzz (or in your case, the euphoric morning salute! *heh! heh! heh!*) I love this. Your playfulness is popping! (((HUGS)))

This one percolated instantly, (sorry, couldn't help that.)

Read two of yours in a row now James, you have a brilliantly dry roast sense of humour and this is an absolute cornucopia of plenty.

Beccy.

I think you should switch to decaf. Like the way you stir things up. Just kidding. Nice job.

This is beautifully written. So witty and it brought more than a smile.
You really have a talent and I think you should try to write more of this wonderful humorous stuff.

ahahahaha ... its sacrilegious isn't it?!
Need to use a wire-brush on this one methinks lol.
Excellent innuendo and saucy post-card stylings.
