Nothing Feels More Right

Nothing Feels More Right

A Poem by James Von

Reminiscing of the night we met,

the chance with you,

I never thought I'd get.

Not knowing that the night was set,

for many years together,

without a day of regret.

That night, your beauty, was captured completely,

your long, brown hair

flowing ever so neatly.

Your eyes enhancing the mood so sweetly,

was this true love?

You intrigued my heart deeply.

Shaking all over but holding my stance,

my body was quivering

as we started to dance.

As I looked in your eyes, my heart melted at your glance,

I couldn't believe

you were giving me a chance.

With your every move, you took my breath away,

the delicacy of your walk

making your hair sway.

The way your eyes twinkle, as they convey,

the innocence of your beauty

in an astounding display.

I ask you to marry me, you whispered in my ear,

yes, "I love you"!

You made my heart cheer.

I promised to love you with each passing year,

you are my love,

my darling,my dear.

Our wedding day, a dream come true,

decorated in colors

of pastel hues.

My heart skipped a beat when I looked at you

walking down in your dress,

what a spectacular view.

I still get excited when you walk in a room,

the way your scent lingers,

from the smell of your perfume.

Your essence reminding me of roses in bloom,

everything about you,

I want to consume.

Your whispers, your touch, your fiery kiss,

this love we have,

I never knew could exist.

Everyday with you is like heavenly bliss,

no one has ever

made me feel like this.

As we lie down to close our eyes at night,

I wrap my arms around you

and hold you tight.

I tell you "I love you" and turn out the light,

nothing in this world

ever felt more right.
