Burnt Soul...

His soul smoldering in an inferno lit life,
flames of sin, ash away unrighteous decisions,

Leaving a crispy soul, to cry black tears of help,
to a GOD, his burnt soul has denied from the beginning of time,

With all bridges completely inflamed,
the scorched soul has no other option but to submit
to his creator and beg for forgiveness of sins,
and help to refurbish his hell fire inner being,

With his knee bent and a melted tongue to confess,
his charred soul, will start his upward assent to repairing,
a lava plagued heart,

With his soul completely embers, he reaches for the heavens
and yells, " FREEDOM " and for the first time in his hell bound life,
he feels just that...

Well, they say that God is forgiving, and that is all that matters, however you interpret it. I like your idea of a soul smouldering in an inferno of life. If we are honest don't you think we have all been there at some time or other? People who live under the delusion of being perfection probably have a lot to hide.
I think your poem moves very well into the crescendo at the end. Well written.
