Frozen hearts...

Frozen hearts...

Thawing cold hearts!

Frozen hearts...

As the snow falls and settles to the frozen tundra,
my mind can't but ponder, if this is what it must be,
like for a cold heart to settle in on a frost bitten world,

As the prince of the air is ever present,
and cascading his chilling persuasion upon,
many at an alarming rate,

The frosting evil is eating people from the,
inside out, one by one, as if snacking on a bag
of chips,

The prince of darkness, is shading the light
with ease and enjoying every minute of it,
Erasing good as fast as, a stealth bomber in
the midst of a tactical strike,

Frozen hearts, are given in to the evil one,
and bringing a tag along with them,

Happiness is turning into sadness,
hope into hate and love is fading quickly,
Satan is bringing out the big guns and trying,
to completely eliminate faith,

I myself will never lose my faith and refuse to,
allow Satan or any of his demons to freeze my heart,

I will always put the armor of God on before leaving my
domain and carry my sword, just in case that cold breeze
shifts in my direction,

I will continue to try to bring warmth to frozen hearts,
and honor God as a soldier of Christ...

This is a great message for your poem: we should thaw out our cold hearts so that we can feel something again.

As a Christian too, may I thank you for spreading love and hope to the lost. There are not enough spreading the Good News. Jesus lives, He is everything anyone could want or need in their lives. God bless you James.

A wonderful tribute to our Savior and a fascinating look at how cold weather can attack our spiritread more
Reminds me of Canterbury tale.. where cold April was cruel..... and after it was over everyone was ready for the pilgrimage..
These frozen hearts need to melt with the warmth of approaching Spring..
Great read..

Fantastic! I love the icy imagery! Even a man of science can agree that the absolute end will be in absolute cold and darkness. This poem is very empowering. A song of strength for love, life and community against the massing mobs of hate, fear and intolerance. A man of science can see that this is truly a righteous and just cause, and bear his metaphoric blade against the forces that strive to undo us. My own personal strife is not with the love of Jesus and fear of God, but with the Devils who fashion a Godly disguise. The omnipotent truth of hate is destruction, we MUST propagate love if we wish to see our children's children come to fruition. Love is the only omnipotent truth we have the option to logically choose. Praise for Jesus and his endeavors to enlighten the human race of this fact. True praise from a man of love and science. I applaud you for being a true holy warrior!

Yes indeed! Thanks for checking it out and b-blessed.
For the time being, this world is under the Devil's sway. People typically underestimate Satan's considerable power and vast influence. Many even see him as more of a symbol--not the very real personification of evil.
An articulate poetic statement, Jamestown, strongly advocating resistance of demonic wiles.
March on, Christian soldier!

True that feelings hurt, but when the heart is devoid of the warmness/emotions then the being turns into a barbaric creature. Faith in god and self can shield our heart from getting numb towards the humanity. Enlightening work James :)

I like your message in this one, we all need to be careful and not let our hearts become cold and hardened. Satan does try everything in his power to discourage and to take us down, but our hope is in the Lord and we will overcome if we are following God. I like the last line especially, we are God's hands and feet and He wants us to go into the world and share His love in order to melt frozen hearts like you said.

Good Job
