If we don't see it, doesn't mean it's not happening...

Take a stand...

Tears fall from an abused wife's eyes as she cries
out loud but they never hit the ground,

Trees of the forest are being ravished by the thousands
but yet we don't hear the sounds,

Men and Women go to war to return home to
be treated poor,

Several things are happening around us that we
do not see first hand and the government likes that
it's apart of their corrupt plan,

We are all intelligent well read, written and spoken people
and we know that this corruption takes place,
It is a down right disgrace,

If we don't unite and take a stand, they will continue
there destructive plan and our children will be left to
pay for their greedy mistakes, while the world around
us disintegrates,

We must grab one another's hands and make a valid
stand, to do what is right in Gods sight and his perfect plan,

We can't set back and do nothing and expect something
if we keep letting them pull our strings, this world
could be heading to a new world order by 2019...

Well written with an important message! I love how you start out with everyday occurrences to a wider perspective, draws you in and sneaks up on you :) if we agree to the things described in the beginning, it becomes difficult to deny that issues on a much larger scale still happens even when not witnessed first hand.

Jamestown, I agree that the world is going to Hell in a hand basket and our government is dysfunctional and stagnant thinking keeps us worse off than we should be. Trouble is, after all it's dysfunction it is still one of the best countries on Earth and we have to sustain. Our country's made it back from worse than this and it just keeps on going. I have faith that my grandkids will still be able to have a decent life, if not better. I'm not giving up yet. Your poem is kick-a*s!! Keep writing. take care...dan

the world is cruel. and life will never hesitate to show us that, but at the same time how one can know if he's really strong...how can we distinguish truth from lies? only from knowing both. i'm a firm believer that everything that happens is for a reason, and maybe a vague one, but also for our own good....lovely raw poem my friend.
