Life's Lemonade...

When life serves us lemons
we are told to make lemonade,

At least that's how the old uplifting
saying goes,

In my life I have made my fair share
of lemonade, some batches have turned
out very sweet others not so much and a
few times the batch was made to perfection,

Today I was served those sour lemons yet
again and I know what I need to do but like
the sour lemons of the past it's always easier
said then done making that perfect batch,

I begin to wonder why these pesky lemons
keep finding there way into my life, to be perfectly
honest I don't even like lemons, but then I remind
myself why not, I have to keep telling myself it's
because these sour lemons need some sweetness
in their life and who better to add some sweetness to
their sour then me,

With that quick reminder I know what I have to do,
one batch of lemonade is on the way and this time
it will be pink cause I figure these lemons could use
some color in their yellow lives,

Lord I don't understand why I must keep being served
these sour lemons but I pray your will be done, and I
hope you understand when I say " I don't even like lemons
and am getting really tired of making lemonade "

I loved that. I have heard the old analogy "When life gives you lemons make lemonade.", but that saying has gotten so old to me. You turned the saying into something new and enjoyable and I liked that.

i don't like lemons either, but we will continue to be served them, so we must make what we can out of them that might be drinkable...bad taste or not.

Nobody likes "lemons" in our lives, but the only thing we can do is keep a positive attitude, because there isn't a good alternative.

I once knew a woman who was so positive, that when life handed her lemons, she could make a lemon meringue pie with them.
