The Boy in the Tree

The Boy in the Tree

A Poem by Jamie Starlight

I walked across the old
Stone bridge
To a tree with leaves that
Cast a rainbow tint.

Sitting upon a sturdy branch
Was a coffee haired boy.
His intense green eyes
Were fixed upon a
Novel of adventure
And magic.

I carried forward on
My stroll across the old
Stone Bridge unaware
This awkward boy would
End up being one of my
Favorite companions,
And maybe even more...
