Blue Isn't the Color of Sorrow

Blue Isn't the Color of Sorrow

A Poem by Jamie Starlight

Blue Isn’t the color of sorrow
Blue is a serene landscape of skys and waves
Blue is the color of peace of mind and depth
Images of sorrow do not portray blue
Sorrow is the white of hotel bedsheets with sun streaked over them with a form bundled beneath lifeless to the joys of living
Sorrow is the black of bags under eyes and the void under our eyelids where we escape for hours
Sorrow is the constant distractions from what needs to be faced, the hours wasted in slumber in dark rooms or colorful screens of worlds better than our own.
Sorrow is chaos in ourselves and blue is quiet and calm.
