Wall of Sketchings

Wall of Sketchings

A Poem by Jamie Starlight

What grew upon the wall was of human hand

Grey outlined creatures to roam on one dimension

Wilted wings resting on the fragile back of a wounded fairy

Her hair in disarray and front turned into the wall

Skull screaming into plaster, dead eyes staring into nothing

Flowers sprouting out of every orifice and vines suffocating the bone

Feeble hand reaching ground-ward from the ceiling

The grey lines entwining with nothing but wall

What grew upon the wall lived in its own existence

Grey outlined creatures erased with water and bucket
