Black

Black

A Poem by Janay brooklynne

Why when I look into your eyes do I see a gruesome shade of black?

You speak to me with words ever so kind, but your words are not truthful, you only tell lies.

Your embrace may be warm, and your touch may be nice. But your heart is made of stone, and layered in ice.

You tell me you love me both day and night. But you fooled me once, you won't fool me twice.

Your hands may be soft, but your grip is too tight.

Your smile may be radiant, but it's only a disguise.

Your laugh may be lovable, but your love is a lie.
