I Fall In Love Every Single Day

I Fall In Love Every Single Day

A Poem by Jared Orlando

I fall in love
Every single day
The girl working
At the ice rink sales counter
The magazine cover
The billboard above the liquor store
A 3rd grade teacher
A mother of three
A friend of a friend
A friend
With old flames
Old flings
Is anyone safe?
All possible future companions
I think of sleeping
Of waking up
Next to someone I've seen
Only in passing
Breakfast
Cafes
Walks, movies, staring, pointing,
Time that drifts off
Disappearing on sunsetted cliffs
My window opens
I see her, yellow dress
Flailing on the side of her yellow dog
Hoping she will cross that sidewalk
And we can start our life together

O.O oh god I don't mean to be a creeper sorry but I know that feeling. One time I fell in love with one of those guys who bag your groceries just because he was being so sweet and careful about it. It sucks... I'm sorry...
