The Madman has a say

The Madman has a say

A Poem by Jargyn
"

more of a song than a poem, so like try to make a tune in your head as you read it. whatever kind suits you :)

"
They say there's a man
who one day had snapped
when he saw a squirrel fly like a bird
They say he stood by
the tree it left behind
leaving too soon to see it return

They say he's a mad man
and that he is
to his family and clothes he left behind,
he ventures the land
with a stick in his hand
and tears into any foe he can find

They say he's a mad man
as he slips past them
and climbs every structure in his way
he's chased by the police
but he treats them like any beast
and battles them from night til day

He swings from vine to vine and
sings from time to time on
construction, rock and tree
They say he's a mad man
They know he's a mad man
But they also know that he's free

and he sings his song of the free:
"O-ay, O-ay, O-ay the beast I must slay
He breaks my song, but I fight on
and there I have a say."

"O-ay, O-ay, O-ay the beast I must slay
He breaks my song, but I fight on
and there I have a say."

The mad man has a say.
