Summer Grades

Summer Grades

A Poem by Jase Aveline
"

Based on my experiences

"

Summer days

Summer nights

Summer shines

With summer lights

Summer pressure

And summer break

Will never come

For it’s too late

Summer As

And Summer Bs

On my report card

I am at ease

Oh wait

You got a C?

Then I’ll ignore

Your basic needs

No summer parents

Who give you food

Or summer clothes

And summer shoes

No summer needs

Or summer wants

You should have gotten

Those assignments done

Summer work

Until you’re tired

But I’ll push you

For several hours

Summer stress

No summer rest

Until your life’s

A summer mess

With no breaks

It’s super hard

It should have been an A

On that report card
