Fantasy

A Poem by Jasmin

Poisoning my mind
Your existence like a vision out of fantasy
Fantasy turned into nightmare
Nightmare turned into darkness.

Hallucinations....
Refusal...
Opening up to the gates of reality.

Confusion....
Is this real?
Yes? No? Maybe?
Give me some deliverance,
Set me free from this reverie.

I so identify with the words of this poem. When going through depression one of the terrible things is trying to find purpose in climbing out of bed. Because dreaming is better than living. The behavior becomes addictive because it blurs the lines between fantasy and reality. One could easily lose their mind to it. Thank you for sharing your wonderful poem Jasmin.
