Depart From Me

Depart From Me

A Poem by Cjb

Depart from me, my love
Gently as the ripples of the sparkling blue lake
As a doves gentle coo carried by the breeze on a mid April day
As a candle flames last flicker in the still of the night.

Depart from me, my dear
While the world is dark and all are dozing in an ever so delightful slumber
While the moon is tucked away behind the clouds in the peaceful night sky

Depart from me
Wherever the wind may blow
Your wonderous heart
Like the grass' subtle movement as the salty wind flows freely.

Depart from me
While the world is dark and all are dozing in an ever so delightful slumber
While the moon is tucked away behind the clouds in the peaceful night sky
