Important Nonsense

Important Nonsense

A Story by Matt
"

I do know.

"
Extreme highs and lows. Once it takes over,
I contemplate measures of unseen light.
Stress and despair with a mix of solitude.
I lost myself in a waste basket,
Crumpled with words that shout anger and crime.
 A mix so diverse anyone is a candidate:
 The man with the greatest smile.
 The man who gave all he had.
 The man reaching out for forgiveness--
Red thick bloods drowns The Man;
Or better yet makes the situation noticeable.
 When is it that man looses all hope?
Do I have potential?
The world today-- jittering laughter and need to conform.
Materials are put on a higher pedestal as we continue to grow.
Options become more options.
People continue grinning at the hidden purpose...
No, he wasn't conscious.
Sipping expensive liquor, stabbing at the disease mankind adopted.
Devilish corridors open wide;
the mouth of the river is spitting.
 I lost all regard for other issues.
I lost all hope in others I sought to be real.
My emotions poured down a clogged drain,
Seeping through a stain in your two thousand dollar rug.
Another thousand and another thousand. When will we learn?
