About having a hollow approach to love and lust, feeling that romance is an empty shell

You found me, outside but not quite alone
My girlfriend is somewhere. unaware
Sitting back, relaxing at her empty home
Me and my friend, ignorant but still joyful
My darling is laying awake, silent
Her eyes fading out, dull, ever dull

This girl is giving me what I want at this time
No love, affection, or happy endings
Just selfish attention, is kissing such a crime?

Her smile and intense glances in my direction
Under a hazy direction I'm hers in a second
She's nothing I needed, but I still have hollow lust
This is pure fun, but nobody's idea of a heaven

You kissed me, in the cool breeze of October
My love is alone, fading like a ghost
Lost in the catacomb of her own mind
Me and some nameless girl, enveloped once more
I've lost all my memories in a drunken bliss
As I surrender my consciousness in a stupor

This girl gives me everything I desire at the time
I desire no soppy visions of romance or adoration
I threw myself from the summit of cloud nine
