All Bridges Are Electric

About the connections we make online

And all digital outposts

Allow for the creation of newer

And improved versions of ourselves

But all fantasies are flawed in logic

I'm better than I was before

But just in a new kind of hell

All bridges built and soon to burn 

I'll dedicate myself to a newer life

But still with the same old problems

Send me the legacy of your pain

And maybe I'll respond in kind

We can form a bond over something wonderful

Because all of my friends are blind

I wonder if I can maintain

This better image of myself

Or am I only a shadow

All our stories forged in poetry

Are they a warning 

Or a better example

All relationships sent to hell

But at least I have something unreal

At least there's always the other world
