My Friend, The Fiend

A rather satirical piece about a man who's friend is a serial philanderer and adulterer

My friend's living on stable ground

Found a willing wife to settle down 

But his nature outstrips his nurture 

And as I laughably know

Trouble will soon be abound 

He's in club after club on the prowl

While all she wants is to settle down

Again and again, lessons never learned

He's not looking for love

But for a happy hunting ground

My friend, the fiend 

Shares all of his x-rated dreams

Girl after girl, ignoring history

There goes another one

Who can't change him, it would seem

My friend is willing to sacrifice

Everything for his sexual avarice 

There's no just desserts

Just a revolving door

There goes another girl tonight

Just another smile and nod

And she thinks that he's a god

But it's all their own fault

Selling their own souls 

Struck by the lightning rod

My friend, the fiend 

Shares all of his x-rated dreams
