Last Word

Last Word

A Poem by The Jay

The burden of carrying it weighs we down,

From the moment I had it I knew it'd be instilled in me,

I kept it with me all these years,

But never I realized it was nothing,

Wringing,

Falling from infinity takes its toll,

Revival is inevitable but the misery is unavoidable,

The mind becomes an abyss,

Wringing,

Escaping the frailty of distorted reality,

Timeless it may feel but it will not last forever,

Wringing,

Life is baffling but not as baffling as the nothingness surrounding it,

Wringing.

A wonderful contemplation of life and all that surrounds it. No useless words, no awkward lines. Haven't heard from you lately, Jay, and it was nice to read another piece from you.
