I hate the girl I love

I hate the girl I love

A Poem by Jay B. Belski

Thinking of her makes my heart leap and my mind ponder
The more I neglect this feeling, the more I grow fonder.
Your beauty, your brains
Your ambition, your fashion
To the grimace of focus when you invision your passions.

This feeling only grows greater as time comes to pass.
Whether waking or sleeping thoughts of you are never last.
When these thoughts do occur both mind and heart race.
In hopes that your heart still holds a vacant space.

For me that space could truly belong
My mouth bares silence but my heart a song
It says that only you should hear this tune
You peer into my heart your adventitious tomb

For the love had come and the love had gone.
But the song grew louder and words grew strong.
To no surprise they were bitter without sweet.
I have the heart but you took the beat.

Very nicely worded. I can almost feel the heartbreak in the words.
