A friend is like a Hero

A friend is like a Hero

A Poem by Jayda Jackson

A friend is like a hero,
She's there when unexpected.
To help you through the tough times,
So that you don't feel neglected.
Friendship is quite rare,
It is easily misunderstood.
You wouldn't want to risk it,
That risk wouldn't be good.
Without a friend,
You feel alone.
Without the skin,
You're just a bone.
Alone is not just yourself,
Alone is not just plain.
Alone is when nobody cares,
And you have built up pain.
Alone is being different,
Yet not accepting why.
Alone is when you try to sleep,
But all you do is cry.
A friend is like a hero,
He's there when you dont know.
To help you with that feeling,
That hits you like a blow.
A friendship should be healthy,
A friendship should be strong.
A friendship isn't questioned,
But you don't always get along.
It's good to disagree,
It's good to be opposed.
It's how you handle it,
Its how the problem goes.
A friend is like a hero,
She knows just what to say.
How to tell you otherwise,
But in the nicest way.
Humor is the key,
It enlightens your whole day.
Until you're alone again,
With nothing left to say.
But that's when your hero comes,
You get a random call.
Your frown lifts to a grin,
You're not alone after all.
Alone is when you're stranded,
With no one left to see.
Alone is when you have nobody,
But you're not alone ; you have me.
Having a friend is a blessing,
You can't buy one at the store.
It crazy how you can have one,
And others have much more.
It's not hard to tell the difference,
From having 100 or zero.
But I'm just fine with one,
A friend is like a hero.
