It's not her

It's not her

A Poem by Jayda Jackson

I see this person,
But not her face.
Her shadow shows,
It leaves a trace.
Her face is hidden,
Beneath her smile.
I only see her,
Once in a while.
She fakes her laugh,
She hides her feelings.
Nobody really knows,
And she's not healing.
If I could help,
I'd sure love to.
But it is something,
That's very difficult to do.
You have to know the feeling,
You have to know the pain.
You have to feel the hurt,
You have to see the strain.
If you have not yet felt,
If you have not yet seen.
You can't try to understand,
You're not the shoulder to lean.
Because she's so far gone,
It's been this way for a while.
She needs someone to help her,
She needs to learn to smile.
Not the fake one that's she's had,
She's has one that is hidden.
You see it when you ask her why,
And she just says she's kiddin.
So tell her that you love her,
And tell her that you care.
Just tell her that you need her,
And that you'll always be there.
Her family doesn't know,
Well in fact they surely do.
But it seems as if they don't,
They act like they have no clue.
She feels as if shes not normal,
As if she's in the wrong.
But she doesn't know that,
She has grown to be so strong.
But strong ist healthy,
And strong creates a sigh.
It's when you get asked a question,
And you hold back so you don't cry.
But I am here to help you,
I've been thru some rough times.
I just want to show how I feel,
Through these little rhymes.
You are my best friend,
And I am your friend too.
Just keep in mind,
That I have care and love for you.
