Blue.

Blue.

A Poem by JaylynChristina

I listen closely to your words,
I listen and I hope,
I fear.
I listen and I wait to hear
You say the words I've been waiting
So long for.
I'm waiting.
I'm hoping.
I'm scared.
For you to tell me why you left,
For you to explain why you
Never asked me who I am.
I want to know,
I need to know,
But I'm not sure
I should know.
Will it make me happy,
To know why you never loved me?
Will it please me,
To know that you always have?
No.
I don't think it will,
But I cannot help but feel
You should at least know:
My favorite color is
Blue.

Awe! I love this poem! It brought up deep emotions that some people forget they have.
If I may ask: Are these lyrics? Or is it just me reading them in a rhythm?

This poem was done in a great style, if you'd call it such a thing. I love that the last two lines (or maybe even the last line) threw a curve ball at me, while remaining relevant to the entire piece.

Good work, Jaylyn. :)

A pretty interesting poem. It stirred up some deep emotions- "You should at least know: My favorite color is Blue"- nice lines. Good repetition and a nice read.
