All About Love

More of a lyrical thing...

I want to stand out from the crowd.

Trying not to look down.

While walking across the

tightrope above this town.

They are all looking up at me.

And I know

They want to drag me right back down.

Somehow, I'm trying to put my heart on a page.

And trying to find the right words to sing.

This one question remains.

Why are all songs about love?

Why are we so insecure?

Why do we depend on

one person to run our world?

I'm standing here

trying to match the words.

To the perfect tune in my head

but nothing ever works.

All I want to know is why.

Why are all songs about love?

I don't know why it is so hard.

To write the perfect song

without drowning in this

sea of ordinary.

I have wasted so many hours

and days

trying to make this work.

Putting my heart on a page.

Finding the right words to sing.

Still, a question remains.

Why are all songs about love?

Why do we depend on

is catching the tears I cry.

No matter how hard I try

I cannot find

one thing that doesn't relate to you.

A little advice..when you try ti write an lyrics..you don't need to find the words for it.. just listen to your heart and put your soul on it..=)

I like the way it rhymes, I have never truly been able to write lyrics, but a point of advice is trying to sing it yourself and it sounds appropriate then wala, my only question is there going to be more to the first verse or is that just to set the mood of the song?
