Sarah (Haiku)

My first attempt to write in Haiku. Well...I think I might have when I was a young kid in Elementary School...so my first attempt since I discovered myself as a poet.

You are my water

You are essential to life

You keep me alive

You are my sweet air

Only your scent fills my lungs

You keep me alive

You are my flower

Your sweet nectar I gather

You keep me alive

You nourish my soul

I need you to be myself

You keep me alive

The epitome

Of God’s creation is you

You keep me alive

Only you are called

The one and only true love

You keep me alive

You’re natures’ beauty

Nothing can compare to you

You keep me alive

Sarah, I love you

Until my heart stops beating

You keep me alive

I don't really mind the formatting, although I'm not quite sure if you can still call it a haiku. Since it's a very personal piece, it's hard to really give my opinion on it. I just think it's very passionate, sincere and dramatic.

The format is fine, I think. Its a very nicely done love poem or I think what you have here is called a string haiku, but don't hold me to that. I really do like it, though.
