Septem Versus 1

This is a new style of poetry I developed, called "Septem Versus".

I shall hold you tight

Until dark fades from night

Our skin against skin

Tempting us of sin

I ache for your touch

 As time’s strand winds thin

 I love you so much

Author's Note

I created this new style of poetry when I was thinking about sonnets and how the 10 syllables and 14 lines are supposed to create a square. So I decided to try out 7 lines with 5 syllables with the rhyme scheme A-A-B-B-C-B-C. I call it "Septem Versus" because that means seven lines in latin.
