Sonnet 17 (Shakespearean Style)

Sonnet 17 (Shakespearean Style)

A Poem by Jeff Miller

I love you because I know no other

Way than this: where I don’t exist, nor you,

Hark! We are bound together, my lover

I love you so much that we are not two.

We are so close that your hand is my hand,

And that your eyes close when I fall asleep,

When I pull hair out your face, ‘tis my strand,

And every tear you cry makes me weep.

However, I would…could not change this way

I could not change your power on my heart

‘Cause I fall in love again ev’ry day

Alas, I loved you ere you let this start.

Hark! No longer is wooing you my ruse,

Yet, you are, and always will be my muse.
