Jealous Confessions of a Girl in Love with a Rodeo Star

Jealous Confessions of a Girl in Love with a Rodeo Star

A Poem by jenbem

I've seen you ride before.
Jealousy coursed into me
as I watched you become
one with the beast

(you were more a part of her
than you'd ever been with me..)

I stood behind the fence,
a safe distance from
you and the 16 hand paint
rippling muscularly beneath you.

(whose hands were used to measure,
she was more than 16 of my hands!)

For a split second I thought
I saw you smile down at me
but quickly realized it was the
look of ecstacy, from feeling
the wind in your face
and that creature between you thighs.

(I must have been crazy
to think you would ever
look down at me with such a
look of desire or fufilment)

As I watched you both gallop
down the pasture I was left to ponder
the cloud of dust and horse s**t
to keep me company.

(I prayed then when you came back
God would change me into a
Palemeino filly. You had told me once
they were so easy to love...)

This is really good! It speaks for all girls who wish they could be more a part of that independent world of interests and passions that their men tend to create...like a girl wishing that an artist she loves would hold her as tenderly as he holds his paintbrush...

A unique portrayal of something that really hits home!

Nice poem....the last stanza especially is very tender, and this is certainly an original theme

I like it!
