The Angelic

The Angelic

A Poem by Jen

What would it be to love an Angelic?

Formed with flesh as a man

Spirit within a mirror of the Universe

Never to have touched his skin

Only feeling his whisper on my cheek

How can one become so connected?

Held to this presence never once touched

Feeling this passion to walk in his flesh

To bind oneself within his arms

Is this unexplainable love only an Angel could bring?

Another you would kneel before, surrendering your will

My emotion knowing he walks on Earth by day

Glides along the Universe's shores by night

I await night to release me to him

I can feel the stroke of giant wings in flight

The fierceness of his strength commands the air

As I give way to sleep my head slowly falls

His hand is there gently guiding my landing

The mind searches for the dream

Nothing releases the seeking him

Tall, blonde, winged in my dreams

Now present, wingless watching me in my sleep

A mystery that is only explained in emotions

No words can expand on his identity

He holds you close from afar

Freedom from longing his warmth is in hope he comes closer

An emotion that keeps you searching for the moment he is there

This Angelic man formed in flesh who weakens your imperfections

Loves you before you love yourself

He is always there even in the silence

There are no words to form an answer

Words are explanation, Love is undefinable
