A Final Goodbye

A Final Goodbye

A Poem by Jen Marie

You

You lied

You promised

You said I would never see him again

I

I believed

I listened

I gave you everything I ever had

You yell

I sit in silent rage

I was yours first

But I will not be yours last

I will flee from you

The moment of passion

Will leave you red

And I will be gone before

Anyone notices you are gone

If I could I would take back the life you stole

And trade you for the strawberry you used to tempt me

Goodbye my husband

I have love waiting for me
